THE HAL SHARP BOOK
Based on a personal survey of the area and extensive research into primary sources, Hal Sharp has written an exciting history of the Patapsco River valley in its role as the Cradle of the Industrial Revolution in Maryland. The book is beautifully illustrated and published by the Maryland Historical Society in 2001. The project has been supported by the Friends of Patapsco Valley and Heritage Greenway and made possible by grants and contributions from the Maryland Historical Trust, Celebration 2000, and others.

REPORTS
Stream Recon Reports
FPVHG has been conducting stream recons in the various sub-watersheds
of the lower Patapsco Valley for the past several years. Our initial
efforts have centered on detecting environmental problem areas on the
Baltimore County side of the River for either the County or our organization
to solve. We hope to begin doing the same type of recons in Howard County
in the near future. The recons help both the counties and FPVHG to prioritize
their work efforts.
