CIVIL WAR TRAILS

The Civil War Trails Program was developed to highlight sites that portrayed significant events during the Civil War. It consists of a series of guides that center on various regions. There is a guide for the Chesapeake Bay region which features Baltimore and several sites within the Patapsco Heritage Greenway. Historic Ellicott City and the Thomas Viaduct are two places prominently discussed in the Chesapeake Bay guide. The auto tour is designed to take one to three days to complete.
