FISHING

There are a variety of fishing opportunities within the Patapsco watershed. An American Disabilities Act ( ADA ) fishing opportunity is provided at Lost Lake within the Avalon/Orange Grove section of the Patapsco Valley State Park. Lost Lake is also available for special senior and youth fishing opportunities. The Patapsco River is stocked with trout during certain seasons. There is believed to be a small native trout fishery in the River's headwaters. Bass and other fish are found in the River as well as in the Liberty Reservoir. Seasonally, a small variety of estuarine fish migrate into the tidal portion of the Patapsco River where it enters the Chesapeake Bay.
